PAWS for Thought Counselling is based on a small family run farm on the outskirts of Exmoor National Park. I offer Counselling & Alternative Therapies for Children, Young People and Adults on a 1:1 basis.
Considering or committing to Therapy can be a huge step, one which should be recognised and supported. I believe that finding the right counsellor to suit you is important and a process that shouldn't be rushed. You should feel supported and heard without judgement, and given a safe space to explore what’s going on for you. No issue is silly or not a big deal. If it’s impacting your day to day life and mental health, it’s something worth looking at, a chance to invest some quality time to work on yourself and your own needs.
Despite the name, its not all about animals at PAWS for Thought Counselling. Anyone is welcome here for counselling, whether you like animals or not, this space is made to suit you.
Through my own experience of attending Counselling, I personally know how challenging it can be to sit down and talk to someone face to face. So if this has been the case for you, I really do hear you. This is why I offer a range of services that are tailored to suit each individual, as I feel Counselling should be accessible to everyone.
Each person that seeks Counselling will be looking for something different, so having a chat together first can be beneficial. I will be open and honest about what I have to offer and there is no obligation to continue afterwards. This decision is and always should be yours to make.
I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and registered with the BACP. I have a very person centred approach to the way I work, allowing you to bring what you wish to each session. This way we can focus and explore what feels important to you. I offer a safe and confidential space where you can safely gain depth and understanding of the issues you wish to explore . During our sessions you are in control of what we talk about, you will not be pressured in to talking about issues you do not wish to discuss.
Counselling can build our self-awareness, helping us to understand what makes us do the things we do, helping to move towards personal growth. Developing a valuable skill set to help you work through these issues and strive towards a more fulfilling life.
The aim is to have the ability to utilise these skills, to support yourself once you finish your counselling journey.
If you have any questions regarding my qualifications, I am happy to discuss this with you further.
